What is a NAP?
In racing tipping, the NAP is a tipster's strongest bet of the day: the one selection they're most confident about. The name comes from the old card game Napoleon, where "going nap" meant bidding to win every trick. The NB, or "next best", is the selection just behind it.
How we pick our NAP
Every morning we score every runner in every UK and Irish race on recent form, official ratings and fitness. Our NAP is the horse that stands out most clearly from the rest of its own race, not simply the best horse on the card. The NB is the one with the next-biggest margin. Races with fewer than four runners are left out. More on how we select.
Our NAP record
Our NAP record: 4 winners from 11 runs (36%), and 10 of 11 finished first or second. Every NAP is listed with its result on our record page, winners and losers.
Before you bet
A NAP is our opinion, not a guarantee, and even the strongest selections get beaten. Check prices and non-runners with your bookmaker, and only bet what you can afford to lose.
